Wellness Fair

Healthy Addition to the Home & Garden Show

A new additional to the home and garden show this year - a Wellness Fair will be held during the show.  The Fair promotes a variety of services and education materials, including smoking cessation, family emergency preparedness, stress management, alcohol awareness, a nutritionist and much more!  This is an opportunity for all to learn more about their health and how to control it, as well as undergo assessments that could help manage their lives.  Organizations appearing include:

Southern Tier Health Care System - information on their services such as asthma, child advocacy center, child and family health plus, and reality check;

Cattaraugus County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse - Smoking Cessation;

Cornell Cooperative Extension - Secondhand Smoke and NRT’s;

Three-Day Cancer Walk - Cleveland;

Olean/Bradford Family YMCA - Healthy Family Home and the YMCA's nutritionist Andre Worster will appear on Saturday from 5 - 8 PM of the wellness fair to present recipe makeovers;

American Red Cross - Family and Business Emergency Preparedness;

Olean General Hospital - information on their services and their dental clinic;

Kidney Foundation; and

Bradford at Home - Davita - Diabetes Education, Blood Sugar, Home Hemo Process.

The Wellness Fair will run April 18-20 with the same hours as the home show, Friday, 5 - 9 PM, Saturday, 10 AM - 8 PM, and Sunday, 10 AM - 4 PM.  The Wellness Fair is brought to you by the Community Wellness Consortium that partners with the community to develop H.E.A.L.T.H.-Helping Everyone Attain Lasting Total Health.  For more information on the Wellness Fair, please contact the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce at (716) 372-4433 or email tourism@oleanny.com.
